1. Embrace the Unknown: Cultivating a Risk-Taking Attitude for Success
If you're anything like me you know how hard it is to take risks, there is always that little voice in your head that's trying to stop you from doing things which might not only put you at risk but also put the ones around you at risk. However this is not a lecture about how you can waste less of your life. This is an article that emphasies there are three things you need to do to change your mindset. First and foremost trying something new, it might sound cliche but it really isn't there is a lot of evidence out there that learning a new skill not only fosters and strengthens neural connections in your mind (making you smarter and sharper) but also they have the ability to change both your perspective and outlook on life.
Secondly surrounding yourself with different people, I am sure there are people in your life you much rather avoid, but I am not referring to those people. Part of taking risks is not only about trying something new but its also about trying something new with new people. Many of us after a certain age surround ourselves with either only our family or our co-worker or close friends. This always comes down to convenience and lack of time as we become older we have less time or opportunities to meet new people and so we end up either isolating ourselves or only hanging out with a select number of the same people. Part of taking risk is finding new connections, its expanding your circle!

I would go as far as saying a lot of what I have been doing has been mostly influenced by people I wouldn't have met without doing outreach due to geographical and other circumstances. Everyone sees the world differently the more pictures you can extract the fuller the world will seem. Finally my last advice on taking risk and Cultivating a Risk-Taking Attitude for Success is "Just do It Now" and no I don't mean what Nike means I mean just do it, if you've had something that you "always wish you did", "oh if i only had the time", "I am tired from work", I say just do it Now! I can promise you when you start you will do it wrong but that's the most important aspect of success, making the most mistakes in the shortest window possible! Nothing has taught me more than taking charge of my own destiny and that has never been done in a day, it's the accumulation of days, weeks and months. So you might be asking yourself, Where do I start? I think for me it all started with the Gym, If you can go 3 days in a row to the gym you have just built a Habit! Nothing will create more success in your life than Growth Habits, going to the gym once won't make you a powerlifter but if after a month of going 6 times a week (3 days gym 1 day break 3 days gym) you don't see a difference than you are lying to yourself. My takeaways message for you today is "Just Do It Now" whether its a deadline for next week, starting a passion project, learning a new skill, going to a networking event. Once you fully embrace the "Just Do It Now" you take control of your destiny and no situation no hardship can take that away from you because if someone does you wrong you'll be faster to act than them as they will wait to do it "Later" but you have to remember Time is your enemy and you greatest asset if you do things NOW no mountain is high enough for you, you will conquer the world!
